While the term micro-pavé is a jewelry term used to describe how the
diamonds are set by the jeweler, the look of micro-pavé has become
so well-known and fashionable, that we’ve devoted an entire
engagement ring category to this style of stone setting! Micro-pavé
designs consist of rings that are literally encrusted with tiny
diamonds! So detailed is this work, that the stone setters actually
do their work under high powered microscopes, to ensure the secure
setting and proper placement of each individual diamond. Diamond
sizes are usually 0.01 ct. or smaller, and are set flush next to
each other, either in rows or in an offset honeycomb pattern. We are
one of the only independent jewelry stores to actually have our own
micro-pavé stone setting system. In our micro-pavé work, the stones
are all custom-cut to fit as close as possible, to be flush and
smooth, and to face up with the greatest degree of symmetry and
brilliance. |
