While having a gold or platinum wedding band is traditional and
still very popular, there are alternatives that are becoming
increasingly available today. Many of these alternative metal bands
are priced at far less than rings containing precious metals, with
many costing around just $200! We carry a very large selection of
such wedding bands, and are always adding in new styles. Some of the
more interesting materials used are tungsten carbide, a
scratch-proof alloy of tungsten metal and powdered carbon;
cobalt-chrome, a hypoallergenic white metal alloy; Damascus steel
and Mokume, centuries-old techniques of twisting and folding metals
to add strength and a unique one-of-a-kind pattern; titanium, a
lightweight and strong natural grey metal; black zirconium, an
oven-baked metal which turns jet black and wears very well over
time; and even meteorite – yes, from outer space! As with all
of our wedding rings, customization is possible, and a wide variety
of other materials and combinations exist, including combining these
alternative metals with precious metals, and even adding diamonds
