Since the first Perlman store was opened in downtown Elgin in 1960, our philosophy has been simple: Offer the finest quality in jewelry construction, craftsmanship, and design; provide the highest levels of expertise and customer service; and carry the largest and most exclusive selections, at the very best possible prices. For three generations our family has strived to do this, and we are very proud to be the Northwest Suburb’s premiere jeweler!
From our modest downtown Elgin beginning in 1960, we expanded to our larger Elgin store in 1970, opened our second store in 1980 in Saint Charles, and opened our third store in 1983 in the Spring Hill Mall in West Dundee. Eventually, we closed our Elgin and Saint Charles stores, and finished out a 20-year stay in the mall, proudly serving the Fox Valley and greater surrounding areas for over four decades. In 2004, we left the mall setting to build our “dream store” on Route 31, also in West Dundee, on the historic Chateau Louise property.
Our Route 31 store is located just a mile north of the I-90 Tollway exit, in a spacious 7,000 square foot building, and is Illinois’ largest independent free-standing fine jewelry and gifts store of its kind! Building on our reputation of providing an unbeatable selection, coupled with superb service and exceptional quality and pricing, our newest store boasts Chicagoland’s largest custom bridal ring department, the area’s finest estate jewelry selection, a gifts and collectibles department second to none, and a larger and more-capable-than-ever in-house jewelry design and repair center! Our store’s elegant storefront is paired with a refreshingly relaxing and comfortable setting inside, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff that is eager to help, but never to pressure. David, Sandi, and Marc Perlman are always here to greet everyone that comes in, and help in any way possible.
